We went to check them (Ten Foot Pole) out last sunday, and it was great. There wasn't too much of a big crowd (something like 50 persons only) but it was cool. We got to talk to them too, they're really nice. The new guitarist makes faces when he plays and he's funy. The new drummer is really young and nice and always smiling and happy. And the new bassist (well he's been there for 5 years now) si a really nice guy. He's the one who addressed us first (he was looking for hash, how could he know I was a narc). Kim and him found point to relate to since they both lived in Santa Barbara. I think Kim was happy to talk to Americans (she rarely meets real americans - those who still live in the US - in France ) and I believe they were happy to find another american to talk to.As for the show, it was rocking hard. Old school songs (AAD opened the show, Fiction, Daddy, John...) and some from their latest album. The only reproach I can have is when Dennis said "If you don't know who Rachel Corey was go to our site and check out" and then at the following song "we want to dedicate this song to Leigh Lawson, our former bassist, he had a too big heart and passed away a couple of years ago. Now I'm sure he's watching us". All this morbidity was too much. It was a bit like "we are cool guys cuz we write songs about people who passed away". I don't know. I found this a bit tacky. Apart from that, awesome !
