It's sad but I think it was just a really unfortunate coincidence that it happened in NYC, 2 months to the day after September 11th. Because of that, a lot of people are assuming this must be a terrorist attack...thanks in large part to the media unnecessarily worrying people...

The weird thing is, that this crash took place about 5 miles from where I live and I didn't even hear about it until I got to school.
It's sad, and scary... yesterday Manhattan was put on lockdown but only for a couple of hours, then everything went back to normal. I know some people in Belle Harbor (the town where the plane crashed), and they're all okay but pretty shaken up by the whole thing. The thing that keeps bothering me is that I literally live so close to JFK airport that it could have crashed in my neighborhood. That's frightening to think about.
