I've been sick for 4 days. Extremely EXTREMELY sick. I lost my voice on Tuesday. Now I sound like a prepubescent boy/ Justin Timberlake. When I cough, it feels like I'm coughing out my soul. I spent all of Tuesday studying for my midterm on Wednesday.. After my midterm, I slept for the whole ENTIRE FUCKING DAY. I wake up this morning feeling all hot and gross. I finally drag my ass down to Student Health Services. They discover that I have a fever of 101. Eep. I come back to my dorm room.. crash.. and sleep. I have a math quiz to take later today which I havent even started studying for. So horrible. I'm skipping sociology, but I still need to drag my ass out to fail the damn math quiz. Arrrrrrrrrrrrr. :-\ I hate being sick!!!

Oh yes what a great feeling that is. I have been sick for about 3 weeks now. It won't go away. Now my roommate is sick and we share our misery. As for classes, I can't remember the last time I went. I am dying a slow death.

Christy, I am feeling your pain right now. I'm just getting over a horrid allergy cough and I have a sore throat. One of my good friends has tonsilitis now, my best friend has mono and my friend's sister just got over having mono. Everyone is getting sick now... it must be the change in the weather.

ive had a daily coughing heaving fit for the last 3 weeks and everytime i race hard i yak my guts up
this morning i was a dry wretching heap are these huge chunks of saliva kept pissing out of my mouth
and now my gut hurts .......guess what im getting blind drunk 2 moro night...me be sensible

yeah i've been feeling really sick lately too. my entire family has it. i have really bad sinuses and a bd throat. it seems like almost everyone i know is sick. i hate to scar ppl but does anyone ever think of bio-terrorism?

Dude don't even say that, I'm in the fucking area with all the anthrax scares! Besides, I've been sick since the beginning of October, and if you have anthrax you die within a few days or so. I think...

I will be joining you soon. It happens every year. I get a little col and because I lead a certain lifestyle where I work, play hockey and drink all the time, that I never take more than half a day to relax every three weeks, so eventually it will become bronchitits.

I slept all the way until 30 minutes before my quiz.. and it takes me 20 minutes to walk to the damn room because its all the way across campus. There were these hoes there who were like "I DESERVE AN A IN THIS CLASS!" I wanted to bitch slap them. Anyway... I chugged out nonsense mathematical equations in 10 minutes and slammed that sucker on to the TA's desk and left. I probably failed, but I dont care anymore. Grades are stinky, but I want my health!

I'm about to take my nightly shot of Nyquil and sleeeeeeeeeeeep. Skipping more classes tomorrow. Probably sleeping all of this weekend.

i've been pretty sick lately. but not cough sick....more of short of breath, real dizzy, cramp easy and of course heart pain.

i quit caffeine and i already feel better.
but that's also cause im slowly relieving school stress...finally.

well last night night i drank 25-30 drinks(im not fuckin kidding} the night before i went ourt till 230 even though i was in bed allday and now tonight im writing this drunk yet again even though ive really gotta start training heaps
and now tomorrow ill probably be sick in bed

yeah, i wanna know what mono is as well, is it an std? i'm not sure, we dont have it in england, or, if we do, its named something as. in an episode of king of the hill hank got mono fromm kissing some girl, so, what is it people, tell the english folk. and relating to the post, i'm also sick, not as much as christy, but i feel like crap, my head is throbbing, my nose is three times its usual size and red, and, dang, i feel cack.

Mono is NOT a STD! Its the "Kissing disease" because it's easily contracted through kissing, sharing drinks, etc. More info here: http://familydoctor.org/handouts/077.html

i think it's definitely glandular fever. the symptoms sound similar to tonsillitis, which is the same as glandular fever.
don't worry patrick! we will find out.

that's it.

mono is when you get what's basically a severe cold. (symptom wise)
and your head really does swell.
lymphnodes are swollen too

it's highly contagious, but only for about a week. they dont know which week though.

lots of people actually have mono when they're a small kid, but it's misdiagnosed as a cold.

there, that's all i can remember from my research project freshman year...
