i don't have my own camera. i want one. any suggestions? i want a good manual 35mm or something like that. i know nothing about types of cameras and all that shit...i just take the pictures.

so. suggest.

Well, just based on you knowing nothing about types of cameras, I'd recommend not spending a large sum of cash for one. get one with all the basic features you need for a price you want, and it'll allow you to "just take the pictures". just go to an electronics store and look around. they're on sale every week. know your stuff about photography before buying some top of the line camera, and save money in the meantime.

yes yes. or, something better would be go to a pawn shop or look in classifieds or something, or go to garage sales, you can find some old fuck with a rad camera for close to nothing. then once you gain a bit more knowledge about cameras, go blow a whole big wad of money on one.

i'm thinking i just want to find one similar to my dad's...it's an olympus OM-1, really old, very basic, etc. i like it.

A friend of mine just got a super good camera for free...her friends mom found it and gave it to her becuase she knew that she was interested in photography...
Everyday at lunch we have been taking pictures of random things...and we are developing them today in the schools dark room.
Yee haw.

wow, i wish my school had a dark room. although me and my friend did find an old developing machine-thing while frolicking in our art lesson. hmmm...
i just got a camera for my birthday. i love it to bits!

get something that is easy to get lenses for, like pentax, canon, minolta or nikon.
