That's about it, no updates leaves me wondering what's up.

Not yet...waiting patiently though...Aimée is due on January 5th...although she's got this maternal gut instinct that the baby's gonna be here sonner rather than later...hopefully we'll be prepared...
We've got almost everything taken care of though...from her room/my den (we're having to share for the time being) to day care ($190 a week for full time come February...yikes!)
As for the whole no updates thing...well...not much has been going on lately...although I already feel life changing...instead of going out drinking on Thursday nights it's Lamaze classes (not quite the same...although after wacthing some of those videos I really feel like I need a stiff drink)...and instead of spending too much money on CD's I'm spending too much money on baby clothes and diapers...oh and fucking Excite went belly up and along with them went my internet access for about a week...bitches...but I'm back...just low-key...it's flattering to know someone's noticed my absence though...
Believe me, I'll let you guys know when baby gets here...I'm gonna want to share that moment...most definitely...and pictures will definitely be forthcoming...as for right now, you're all stuck waiting...just like me...

This is exciting! your job going to give you a raise/promotion when they see that you are a family man and stuff? "Look at him! A hard worker AND a family man! Let's make him VP of something VERY important!"

I sure as hell hope so...I'm gonna need it to afford beer, video games and day care! ...actually, I've been taking on a whole lot more responsibility at work in the past nine months to a year or so and the higher ups have been taking notice as of late, which is good sonce it's almost "performance review" time...

My advice, grow up but don't grow old... ...easier said than done sometimes...especially with some of the shit that one has to go through...oh...and wait until you find the right person to share your life with...it's so much easier when your significant other is your partner and not "the ol' ball and chain" ...
...aww shit...I sound like an old man giving out advice and shit and telling people how to live...truth is, I have no idea how I got to such a really good place in life...maybe it's all just good karma (I'd like to think I'm deserving of some)...whatever it is I'm enjoying it...
I give you: Happy RJ face...

We're kinda pulling for the 5th too...it just happens to be Aimée's father's birthday as well as his grandfather's birthday too...if she were born on the 5th it would carry on the tradition of skipping a generation...neat-o huh?...thatn's the kind of funky shit you start to think about when you get old and start having kids ...

The answer to that question is a resounding "NO!" Sure the every night at the bar thing is gone, but see marriage takes care of that. Then the weekenights at the bar go. Not because alcohol is bad, but more because young children like to wake up at all hours of the night just to make sure the parents are still there.
That leaves Saturday night. That is a night universally reserved for parents with children to go out and get shitty. Not together mind you, they get to alternate weeks. That has been my experience.

I'm gonna have to echo that...of course I'm not gonna go out and get shitty every night, but people need to let off steam every once in a while...just gotta do it more responsibly now a days...speaking of which, I'm getting shitty for two tonight...Aimée's office holiday party is tonight...free flowing booze and the green light from the Mrs. (she wants me to do some drinking for the both of us while she can handle driving duties...built in designated driver...SCORE!)...should be a delightful evening once proberly inebriated...something about getting together in a social setting with co-workers to talk about work that makes me wanna get pissed...

A girl.. God bless you. Good luck on that. Thought of any names yet? I didnt get the promotion. But maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Things happen for a reason.
Also does the new baby mean a trip to Camarillo is on the way so the grandparents get to see the baby??

Actaully, my Aunt now lives in Henderson, Nevada...Will-Yumm's stomping grounds...although I'm not sure if I wanna expose the baby to sin-city just yet...I miss taking weekend trips to So Cal...*sigh*...sorry 'bout the promotion, although usually:
Promotion = more responsibility and no promotion = the ability to blame management fo your short-comings...perhaps it was a blessing in disguise ...
As far as names for the little one, we've got a few in mind but we're waiting to see which name will suit her the best...nothin worse that nameing the baby Mary when she looks like a Jane...

i'd like to recommend the names Adrienne, Zöe, and Sofia.

We actually considered the name Zoe at one point...but we absolutely cannot name the kid Julie...
...actaully...it's my mom's name and she insists that we not name the baby after anyone...she think's that every child should be given it's own name so that it can have it's own identity as opposed to being named after someone...so Julie is out ...go figure...kinda makes sense in a weird way though...mom's are like that...
We're really leaning toward Miranda Anne or Caitlin Anne...I also fancy the name Arianne Michele...we'll just have to wait and see...

oooh!
you COULD name her April Anne PunkMunkey?? (sorry rj.. i don't know your last name!).
but yeah, i like the name April. It's nice. Also, the name Leah is nice. Or Emily. They are nice feminine names

Just because your aunt does not live here does not mean you can not take a trip out here to visit some old time friends. Paul, Sabrina, I..Ya feel me? And very very true it was a blessing in disguse. I can already see that.
