For those AMERICAN FOOTBALL fans..
Quite lackluster this year, yet impressive. Oregon blew me away. I had no idea that they were THAT good. Rex Grossman should have won the Heisman, as he proved at the Orange Bowl. And at this point (10 min left 3rd quarter), it looks like the Canes will be national champs. Woo! I've backed them since '91, and it's been a while.

I thinnk a playoff would have been grand.
Nebraska was over-rated all year and the last two games have proven it. Oregon would have given Miami a game at least. Sadly, nohting doing.
As for Rex Grossman... I still think he is a product of a system. Like Weurffel, Matthews and the others before. I would have given the award to Joey Harrington if it had to go offense. In truth, Julius Peppers of North Carolina was the most outstanding player in college football.

product of a system is definitely arguable(like crouch at nebraska), but the numbers were still pretty damn good. plus the fact that he's only a sophomore. i wish i could've seen harrington a bit more, but the west coast gets no play here. although he was great in the fiesta bowl. but this year shows all the more why a playoff system would have been better. given a playoff, we would have seen oregon vs. miami.

american football...yuck. but anyway, i think the BCS is idiotic, ALTHOUGH there is no question that miami is the best team in ncaa. i just wish UT had beat LSU. oh well.

Yeah the BCS is bullshit.
And I think Ken Dorsey is better than Harrington. But if the Hiesman would relaly be given to the best college player, it'd go to Roy WIlliams. The safety at Oklahoma. He had an unbelievble season and is prolly the most talented player in college football. He'd go Number 1 in the draft this next year as a junior if he didn't play safety. Players at those positions are never taken early
