I am changing my major next semester. The problem is, what to? I don't even know!

For fun, suggest me random majors. If I happen to choose the one you suggest to me, you win a special prize.

Please include a bit of reasoning with your choice.

i am currently going for my diploma in early childcare and education. um, yeah. the plus side to that is only girls go into the program. i'm sure it would be good if i were a lesbian.

SOCIOLOGY! Be a useless Soc major like me! I just sit around and learn about how society is the cause of ALL social problems. Woo hoo. And it's the only cool major where you can take classes like Suicide and Drugs In American Society at once. People think I'm all crazy and morbid taking such classes, but it's all really interesting.

But I don't know if you like reading and writing essays. If you don't, do pick Soc. Yea.

I have two friends that are history majors (well, were history majors, really. one just graduated, and one is now applying to schools to do her phd), and they really seem to like it. Plus, then people laugh at you and ask you funny questions like, "What are you going to do with that, teach?"

(psst, and the one that just graduated is a history/political science dual major, so he gets asked those really great questions twice as much!)

Or you could be an art major! Or you could major in latin and never ever use it for the rest of your life! Or be a creative writing major, if your school offers such a program! There's so many useless choices!

im a BCIS major(business computer information systems), go for that its a good time. you get to do lots of fun stuff with computers...yah!

We call that MIS. I was told it was a shit major. Otherwise, I'd switch to it.

yea, management information systems, it has so many acronyms(BCIS, IS, MIS, BMIS...) why were you told it was a shit major? i mean, my intro bcis class is a joke that they wouldnt let me opt out of(we're are on windows 98 and how to format disks) but ive talked to kids that say it gets much better and interesting. im just curious why you were told it was shit?

I was just told it was a joke compared to a REAL major like CS. Well, my friend's brother is almost graudating from the program here and he is getting a good job at a casino.

So I think it was just a bunch of angry nerds who are angry because they suck.

yea, CS people "look down" on bcis majors, when all of the really geeky computer kids i know are taking bcis(mis). they are two completly oppsotie fields, but bcis(at least at hoftra) is really really strong in the business school, meaning that i get more overall out of bcis than douche bag cs kids.

NUERO SCIENCE. my friend is in his last year in that and he is a fucking genius and he goes on forever about neuro science and he is so cute when he does it. mad scientists are sexy so become a mad scientist.
