gee... what's new with me... uhm... i've been going out with my boyfriend, Eric for a little over two months now... i'm becoming obsessed with photography (the link above leads to a picture of Eric i took for my photo class)... i've been absorbed into unitarian universalism, and i love it... it's really changed my life for the better. i have a lot of really good friends now, and i'm a more open person. they've also made me into a dirty hippie. oh yeah, and i realized that i'm bisexual about... oh... 5 months ago? yes, that picture *is* of me making out with a chick. let's see, what else? i'm 17 now... gonna get my driver's license in about a month (yes, i know i'm a year behind)... i'm still a virgin... i'm a junior in high school, and although the workload is crazy, i'm managing to keep my GPA above 4.0 (which will, in fact, lead to my demise before the end of this year). i desperately want to go to UC Santa Cruz for college. i want to be a psychologist. i have a newfound love for Billy Joel. and, uh... your mom.

yeah, it was, mike.lycia, you gotta tell me all about your new pony - i just got one too! she's a 5 yr old canadian sport horse (but mostly TB), dapple grey, i named her leah. she's a half-sister to carrick, a famous event horse who's been to the olympics (i'm not positive, but he might have been voted horse of the year by the chronicle?. she's really green, but she's got nice gaits and can JUMP. she's jumped over the gate into the little indoor arena twice (she was being turned out in the big arena, which she hates) and it's a solid 4'. i can't wait until she gets over this greenie spooky nonsense, because she's going to be such a terrific event horse. besides that, there's really nothing new going on with me. i'm horrifically busy with school...i get home between 7 and 9 most days. this spring could be interesting, because besides school i'm running track, trying to fit in my ponies along with that (leah is boarded at school, king isn't) and i'm in 3 different instrumtal groups at school (chamber w/ french horn, big band & jazz combo w/ trumpet). i'm probably going to shoot myself.

Same old shit different day...well not really...actually theres a lot that has been going on...Caitlyn is now 14 months old as of yesterday...she's walking, almost talking and generally just charming and amusing the hell out of everyone she meets... Here's a pic from March 7th...so far I have at least 5 pictures of her from every day since her birth...one of my proudest accomplishments actually... ...she does all kinds of cool stuff now...she can tell you her age by showing you her index finger...she can point out her nose, eyes, mouth, ears belly and booty when you ask her...she takes simple commands like when you tell her to bring you something...her mental development is right on...couldn't ask for anything more...and shes so adorable! As for Aimée, she's doing well other than the fact that her mom is driver her fucking crazy...she moved back to Sacramento about 7 months ago, just before the bored went on hiatus and it's been fucking drama ever since...suffice it to say that it's almost like dealing with a child...other than that, Aim's moving up the corporate ladder...sort of...she's been getting more responsibilites like handling her department's intranet site but she's still not being compensated quite what we'd like...she wants to go back to get her degree starting this summer and then she should really be in a position to make some strides toward advancement... Me...well...I'm the same old guy as I was six months ago...maybe a little wiser in the ways of children but not significantly different...I did finally complete the sound system in my car...highlights include a new MP3/CD player in the dash, a couple of new amps, top of the line Infinity separates up front and Infinity co-axes in the rear and a 10" sub to round it out...I know most of you won't know what the hell I'm talking about, but I'm happy I finally got it done and it sounds scha-weet!...anyway...work is work and there's not much to mention there, at least I'm very confident that my job is secure...knock on wood (don't wanna jinx it)...I'm still constanly searching for good music and my CD collection has grown into the 750's...we're gonna need a bigger house soon... That's pretty much been that last six months...see, same old shit, different day... [ March 08, 2003: Message edited by: PunkMunkey ]

Thats so awesome! I'd love to try eventing sometime. But I think for now I'll stick to saddleseat
My horse is a 17 year old chestnut American Saddlebred named Blue's Solo Flight. He has been a lesson horse at the barn i'm at sicne I started there 6 years ago, and this year i finally just took the plunge and bought him. Since he hadn't been ridden by one consistent person he wasn't performing all that well..but now that i've been on him almost everyday...wow! can that horse move! You could never tell how old he is when you watch him. I just had my first show with him last weekend and we did fairly well. two first place ribbons and a sixth (in our last class he decided he didnt want to show anymore and was bucking and racking and running around the arena..good times!) Heres a pic of him- Solo It has been such an awesome experience owning my own horse, I love it! [ March 08, 2003: Message edited by: Geektanic ]

umm.. wow! everyone has been doing lots and lots! amanda - congratulations! and rj... you use a gateway. the same PC i own. the same ones i supported for 2 and a half years. (random useless fact!)well. i travelled the world. auditioned for my favourite band. started working on a porn site (which i'm still doing. it's quite interesting! and yes... it's ALL legal). i'm still working as an application developer for datacom (we bought out another company that is 75% hot women... which is good cause datacom is 75% geeky men, and they need something to look at). i got back into cycling (actually riding) and i'm going to the gym and stuff as well. i'm going to be doing my MCPs for the certified developer soon. i'm travelling about 380km to and from work every day. yes. it IS insane. but tomorrow i'm moving in with to of my cousins to stop travelling so far. other than that... there isn't too much. i have been digging on some good hip hop by atmosphere in the last few months... just for a break up in the plan (cause now she makes rent... and now she drives a taurus!)

Everyone's news makes me happy. Pictures of Caitlyn and Sebastian make me happy. <3 And Kim, you knit some pretty rad things. And you got your knitting blog featured in a knitting magazine. Shush you!As for myself, things have been pretty good. I have a boyfriend and he's absolutely wonderful. We went and saw Old School on Friday. Will Ferell is one crazy mofo. It's a good movie if you just want to sit around and laugh. I also found out on Friday that I did not receieve the RA position that I applied for here at my college. I was kinda bummed about that, but it's ok. I gave it my best shot and now I'm being booted to off campus life and having to fight over the little parking spaces that are available. SCORE. I'm still DJing at the school radio station. It's pretty fun. Sometimes a tad boring and slow. But I like it. I am going to Sea World in 2 weeks. I'm VERY excited because I get to see PENGUINS, and polar bears.. and whales! and Dolphins! Woooo weee. I think I have this unhealthy liking for cute animals. I literally spend my time looking for pictures of beavers and sea otters on Google images when I am bored as heck. But I'm not crazy! Yes. Ok. Bye! --Christy

Whats new... well, lets see. I'm still in school, community college, oh what fun. I'm on a desperate search for a job. I've started wearing bandanas on my head as part of my attire, I'm not really sure why. I've become addicted to The Sims as of late. I turned 21, and I'm still straight edge. Still having boy problems, that will never change, haha. My ex keeps calling me and I'm trying to be his friend but its hard. I'm thinking about moving to Philadelphia with my friend Michelle, not sure if that will actually happen but you never know. I got a digital camera and I've become a photo-taking whore. My friend Alex and I are starting a webzine which should be up sooner or later, I'll keep you guys updated on that. I'm still vegan. I think that's about it. Nothing major has changed in my life in the last six months or so.

so, what's new...hmm.. I'm in Pittsburgh now, at school. I love it (minus class). I've been taking a crazy amount of pictures this year. Well, since high school grad really. With my graduation money, I bought myself a Nikon N55. I also got a digital camera for X-mas. I've been looking for jobs here in PA but the second most employers find out I return home for the summer they kick me out the door with a "o, we're sorry, we need someone for the summer." I have an interview tomorrow, hopefully that doesn't happen again. I almost convinced my mom to let me stay here over the summer if I got this job I interviewed for at a law firm (woulda been perfect since I want to go to law school), but I got the boot on that one too. All that was pretty much it. I mean, there's bad news I could tell you all - but who wants to hear that!!! Not me!

a lot has changed over here. well nothing as drastic as having kids, but... i started a band called anchors for architects about a year ago and things have been really great, it's pretty much been the focal point of my life since then. we are a five-piece with a violin, we've played about 20 shows around here now (including shows with bands i've loved for a really long time like the killingtons, the party of helicopters, her flyaway manner, and the one a.m. radio) and are planning on doing a major road trip over the summer playing in america's basements, living rooms, elks lodges, rec centers, record stores and anywhere else that will have us pretty much. i'll post the dates up here soon. oh and if you're curious we have mp3's up. ah, good times. i'm also about to graduate high school in about two months. i don't really know where i'm going to college yet though... i'm praying i'll get into northwestern but if not, which is pretty likely, i'll probably just end up going to UC santa cruz, which is alright with me. i suppose that's about all. it's nice to be back on here, i missed this board and am glad everyone's doing so well.[ March 14, 2003: Message edited by: lost_astronaut ]

well i guess i'll say something here.i live inseattle and i hate it. it's too small, there aren't enough people to be friends with. most of the people that i am friends with are way too into fashion and too crazy, too social. it's really annoying to be called at 1am, even if you're usually awake at the time, and be asked if you told someone something about someone else. i dropped out of art school, but it was for MANY good reasons. and my parents encouraged me to. i used to live in a house but then some of the roommates were total potheads, the house smelled like pot everyday. they then got into coke and are now cokeheads. so me and two other roommates moved out. i now live alone in a studio apartment. it's VERY boring. i got an antena for my tv and only sort of get the WB (the worst network EVER MADE. it's only good for some of the cindicated shows it has). in september or so i had a boyfriend that decided to become gay. being single is like torture for me and i will never find a boyfriend here. then i liked a total man whore for a month and didn't talk to him the whole time because he disappeared, although he never knew i liked him. i freak out really easily for no reason now. the other day i was online at kinkos (i didn't have a phone line until today) and i started feeling crazy and felt like crying. so i walked home and wished a car had hit me then thought of more ways that i could die. i also freaked out last weekend at a show.... blah blah blah. i also freaked out drunk at a party one time and ran around laughing and crying to everyone and told this guy i kinda like all the reasons why i'm sad. i don't want a job, i just want to drive to the east coast and visit my two friends that i love to death and one other friend. oh yeah, and also once at a dance party i refused to leave while i cried the whole time because i missed all my friends in california so much. also, i got crazier when it comes to making jokes and doing silly things. all together, i'm 70% crazier!
