Well, the "long-awaited" update from me is here. Jody, I know you asked for it, I am certain most will not give a damn, but, it is here anyway...For the last 7.5 months, I have been living with Lisa. Sometimes life throws you for a loop. I got thrown and have never been happier. Things just seem so right with here. We rarely fight, and when we do it's about such nonsense, we kind of laugh about it afterward. We made a hard-fast promise to never go to bed mad, and have held to it. It really seems to be the key. Instead of waking up and still being annoyed, we just get to the bottom of things before bed. It can make for a long night, but so be it. Afterall, the happy morning more than makes up for it... In December, we Lisa got pretty ill, and it was kind of rough here. She was pretty depressed and I was pretty beaten down. So, in a moment of clarity, we went ot the Humane Society web page and found a dog to adopt. On the 19th of December, our little family welcomed Wendy Dog to the fold. She is a 2 year old Jack Russel mix. Kind of hyper and a little weird. She fit right in. After a few days, we realized she never reacted to sound. Yep, she was deaf. It didn't dampen our enthusiasm any, and in truth, she is so well adjusted you'd never even know. Christmas was fun, and the New Year came with little fanfare. Middle of January, I refinanced my house. I got a check for $18,000 dollars and set to making "Norm's Ghetto House" into "Norm and Lisa's Fun Place." New windows were followed by new siding, and plans are currently in progress to turn my dilapidated kitchen into a 50's diner. (Complete with a sparkly booth and a jukebox on the wall) Along the way, I have learned that money goes VERY FAST... On that note, About a month ago, I got a 10% raise at work. Not as much as I wanted, but better than a kick in the teeth. So that's about it... Also of note.. I have a new computer for home. It goes well with the laptop. I also picked up a 20 gig iPod and a Canon S9000 printer. The printer ended up being the most expensive piece, as there was no deal to be had. I am currently awaiting my digital camera in the mail, it shipped last week so it should be here any day. Once I get that, I will post some photos. As for wedding plans... I want to marry Lisa, she wants to marry me. We want to get some other things settled first. (Plus, she gets a bit freaked out by the whole idea of marriage. Not me though... Well, maybe I do to) The goal is to marry in Vegas, if not this year, then next. It will be a blast, and anyone who wants to go is invited. When plans are finalized, I will post them here... Also of a weird final note... I will be in California in August. I am standing up in a wedding. I believe it is the weekend of the 24th, but it could be earlier. I will find out for sure. I do know it is in SoCal, somewhere near the airport that isn't LAX. I also know I won't have a ton of time, but am hoping to get 2-3 days off of work... Maybe I can bump into some of you Cali-folk then...

Land, money, a girl, that can be understood. Now war over god, that's a whole different issue. There is no way I can justify a war over who has a better invisible friend.
