I got the news about a hald an hour ago that an old friend of the family died...he was only 40 years old...I'd know him and his wife since I was about seven and had even been around for the birth of his daughters...

I hadn't seen him or his family in at least 8 years since they moved to Nevada but the loss still hits home...too many good people dying young...

I'm very sad.

Sigh. I guess we always wonder why we didnt do things differntly, or prepare for loss and heartache. But I suppose if we lived that way, we wouldnt really be living at all.

Honoring a lost one's memory is the best way to go on, or at least thats how it seems to me.

Having been incredibly busy lately, I seem to neglect the bored. Then, when I stop by, i see sad news.

Much like David and Paul, I am sorry for your loss. Amazing how strange life gets as you get a bit older. Friends you thought you'd never stop seeing don't come around anymore, people who meant the world to you are now snapshots in you idle mind. Yet, when an unfortunate event happens, everything stops. The distance is erased, the years disappear, and you become the same person you were when you met them. The relationship, and the feelings about it are as strong as ever. My most sincere condolences on the loss of your friend.
