So, this place is still around which is very cool. It's hard to believe that I was 14 when I first came here, and now I am 21. This place has had quite a run(with a hiatus thrown in here and there).I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I figured I'd post to say what's up if any of the ole' regulars read this. Also, I think William asked me if I still listened to the Ataris on the Something Awful forums. The circle of life. (and the answer is no) Good times. Edit: Whoa, MU330 lyrics in the signature. It really has been a while.

Dear Christy,Your facebook says you are moving. I am very curious. Where to? In my attempt to make this into a pathetic "update" thread: I am fine. I have finals very soon. Then I am going to have my first true summer break in umpteen years (because last year I was slaving away for some asshole company during summer). It is going to be awesome. In one year, I should have my BA. Which is cool. What I am doing after that is still vague at this point. I think I will probably continue, but I don't know where, or what exactly [hesitating between doing a more general masters which would lead to teaching, or doing a "professional" masters leading toward translation for cinema, which I think is awesome but not really sure if a) I can get the three, very competitive programs that exist for it in France, and b) if there's a job market for such things without having to live in Paris]. Other than that, life is pretty much the same. They are filming a movie in town currently and apparently they are closing the road in front of our apartment next week for it, so maybe I'll see some movie stars or something. David is the same: working, taking umpteen photos, etc. So yeah. Now, other people, talk about yourselves. Unless you are a busty lady with a website about gay sex with camels, because we have enough of those types around here already.

Whoa cool, I remember you regulars. Nice to see everyone doing well.My life: I have a year and a half of school left. I'm too poor/lazy to take summer classes, so I'm on the 4.5 year plan. I was supposed to get an internship with a local company this summer, but that fell through for some unknown reason, so I work as a janitor and get paid pretty well for the amount of work I do, and I have a lot of free time. Unfortunately, that also means I have a lot of time to spend all of my money at the bars on weekends with my friends who are settling down with good jobs and houses. So, the poor/lazy part is kind of my fault, but it's all good. So, life is pretty good, I'm having fun, and I'm still on track with school, so I have no real complaints. Feel free to add me on Facebook. Daniel Baumgart is the name, and Southern Indiana is the school.

Hello.I am still a sucker in a job that eats shit. Long hours on wank pay. But hopefully I'll get to manage my own petrol forecourt before too long - oh, the glamour, it overwhelms me. Kim, can you please link me up with this busty camel-woman friend of yours. Is she a relative of David? Daniel - please don't take this personally, but, Danielle Baumgart is way hotter than you, as is Danielle Baumgartner. And while Daniel Gitau Baumgarten is slightly scary and a little odd, he's at least twice as ninja as you or any of us will ever be. Ewan - please stop drinking. Also, I'm expecting a large rubber horse mask to arrive in the post today. I think it's my shrewdest investment to date. Pictures forthcoming. I partied fucking hard at ATP. I've got the festival bug, so now I'm going to too many this year. Next up Ashton Court, then Green Man and End Of The Road. w00t. I'm listening to Popsicko. Still. After all these years. Contenders for album-of-the-year so far: Wilco, Apples In Stereo, Andrew Bird, The Besnard Lakes. I'm done.

Ewan, is Green Man the sissy UK version of Burning Man? Just curious.Kim, I hope you get some see some really cool celebs. I am jonesing for more celebrity breakdowns. I swear nothing can top bald Britney opening a can of whoop ass on the paps with a golf umbrella. I will also have to agree that Daniel Gitau Baumgarten freaks the living daylight out of me. It's like his eyes are sending me into a trance? Per Kim's request: Yes, I am moving soon. I was accepted into a few graduate schools, I ended up choosing one in Philadelphia, which also happened to be the most expensive one on my list. Doh. But I gotta get my shit together and realize how to pack and move across the country. If anyone has any tips, let me know. I'm doing the optional summer school, which starts in August. Other than that, things have been the same. Same job. Still single. Still Asian. I am hooked on podcasts of This American Life, and I wish Ira Glass could be mine.

wow, I'm baffled. This is still on? And we're all like what? 5 to 7 years older?Feels good to find the same old layout(although it's not what I remember being the most "used" layout during the very active years -the same years when the aussies were banned or when Asspipefucker or driller or some name like that bullied everyone). Hope everyone is fine. I still listen to the old ataris "looking forward to failure" (probably because it's on a tape that's never left the player in my car since 2001) but I don't like Roe's new material (since So Long Astoria). It's ironically funny to realize that some years ago, it would take me the whole (work) day to read all the messages and comment on them. I'm slowly drifting away from the internet hype. I now know it's too big to be swallowed in one bite. David. [ July 01, 2007: Message edited by: Colonel Klink ]
